Frequently Asked Questions
Answers to common questions about our courses, format, and approach.
Are these courses suitable for complete beginners?
The Foundation Layer Budgeting course is built precisely for those starting from scratch. No prior financial knowledge is assumed. The Structural Systems and Complete Life Plan courses do benefit from some familiarity with budgeting concepts, so we suggest working through the programmes in order.
How are the courses delivered?
Courses combine self-directed study with recorded sessions, printed or digital worksheets, and optional group discussions. The Complete Life Plan includes optional one-to-one consultations. Most participants manage the coursework across four to eight weeks depending on pace.
Do you give specific investment or financial advice?
No. Brenmark Arcadia is an education provider. Our programmes describe how financial instruments and planning tools work — they do not constitute advice, and we do not recommend specific products, securities, or investment decisions. Participants are encouraged to consult a licensed financial planner for personal recommendations.
What does the Malaysian focus cover in the investing course?
The Structural Systems course covers Bursa Malaysia, unit trust structures, ASNB products, and how regional economic conditions interact with portfolio considerations. The Complete Life Plan expands this to EPF contribution strategies, private retirement schemes (PRS), healthcare costs, and basic estate planning under Malaysian law.
Can I enrol in more than one course at a time?
We generally recommend completing one course before beginning the next, as each builds on the previous layer. That said, if you already have a solid budgeting foundation and wish to start with the investing course, we are happy to discuss that during the initial consultation.
What is your refund or deferral policy?
We understand that circumstances change. Deferral requests submitted before course commencement are accommodated without charge. Refund requests are reviewed on a case-by-case basis. Please contact us directly and we will work through the options with you.
