Three Courses.
One Coherent Structure.
Each programme is designed to stand on its own — and to build meaningfully on the one before it. From the first budget draft to the complete life plan, the architecture holds.
Back to HomeThe Drafting Room Methodology
The sequence of courses at Brenmark Arcadia mirrors the way an architect approaches a complex project: you do not plan the penthouse before the foundation is understood. Each layer depends on what precedes it.
This means that participants who work through all three programmes develop a financial understanding that is genuinely layered — not a collection of separate tips, but an integrated view of how budgeting, investing, and long-term planning interact with each other.
That said, each course functions as a complete educational unit. Participants who join the investing course with an existing budgeting background, or the life planning course with investment literacy already established, will find the content accessible and self-contained.
- Courses sequenced to reinforce each other
- Malaysian market and regulatory content throughout
- No product sales or advisor referrals
- Annual curriculum reviews
Foundation Layer Budgeting
A structural introduction to personal budgeting, treated as the groundwork of any financial plan. Participants learn to survey their current position, identify load-bearing elements, and design a budget that supports their actual life — not an idealised version of it.
What this course covers
- Income and expense mapping across Malaysian household contexts
- Identifying discretionary versus structural costs
- Scenario planning — what changes when income shifts or obligations increase
- Emergency fund sizing and placement
- Drafting-style worksheets for ongoing use after the course
Structural Systems of Investing
An educational course examining the structural elements of investment portfolios — how asset classes function together, how time horizons influence design, and how local Malaysian market features affect planning. Content is descriptive and architectural rather than prescriptive.
What this course covers
- Asset class characteristics — equities, bonds, cash, REITs explained
- Portfolio construction principles and diversification concepts
- Bursa Malaysia, unit trusts, and ASNB structures described
- Time horizon interaction with risk and return trade-offs
- Annotated Malaysian case studies with glossary references
- Optional facilitated group discussion sessions
Complete Life Plan Drawings
A comprehensive longer-term course covering retirement planning, legacy considerations, and intergenerational matters — treated as a multi-storey architectural plan. Participants engage with content that most Malaysians encounter only when making time-sensitive decisions, rather than in advance.
What this course covers
- Malaysian EPF account structures, contribution rules, and withdrawal conditions
- Private Retirement Scheme (PRS) overview and comparison with EPF
- Healthcare cost projection and insurance literacy
- Estate basics — wills, nomination, and hibbah under Malaysian law
- Intergenerational planning considerations
- Planning portfolio compiled across the course duration
- Optional individual consultation sessions
